Hello Adventurers.
Today's song to be review is "Let It All Go" by Birdy and Rhodes as you can see in the image above.
I found this song when I was looking through Birdy's songs on iTunes, and I fell in love with this sng when I first heard it. Why? Because the chorus is what got to me. Here, I'll show you the lyrics to it:
"
"Verse 1:
I've been sleepless at night 'Cause I don't know how I feel I've been waiting on you Just to say something real There's a light on the road And I think you know Morning has come And I have to go
Pre-Chorus: I don't know why, I don't know why We need to break so hard I don't know why we break so hard
Chorus: But if we're strong enough To let it in We're strong enough To let it go Let it all go, let it all go Let it all out now
Verse 2: If I look back to the start now I know, I see everything true There's still a fire in my heart, my darling But I'm not burning for you We started it wrong And I think you know We waited too long Now I have to go
Pre-Chorus: I don't know why, I don't know why We need to break so hard I don't know why we break so hard
Chorus: But if we're strong enough To let it in We're strong enough To let it go Let it all go, let it all go Let it all out now Let it all go, let it all go Let it all out now
Bridge: Who says, who says? Who says, who says? Who says truth is beauty after all? And who says love should break us when we fall?
Chorus: But if we're strong enough To let it in We're strong enough To let it go Let it all go, let it all go Let it all out now Let it all go, let it all go Let it all out now We're strong enough To let it go"
My favorite part is "But if we're strong enough to let it in, we're strong enough to let it go..." because it's so true and encouraging. It reminded me of how hard it was to leave Lima, Peru, and how much I loved it and also missed it. I felt it was telling me to let it go and how I can let it go since I let it in. It is a good lesson to learn because holding on to a memory or action make you lose focus on what is right in front of you. It did for me at least, it will be 5 years on February 21st, 2017 since I came back from Lima, Peru.
It got deep, sorry for those who don't like deep stuff. Anyway, this song has a strong message to let go because you have the strength to do it even when you think you don't can.
The song sounds amazing with the verses being quiet with only piano and one voice playing and then the chorus and bridge has many voices, drums, and piano. Finally, the tag with just Birdy and the echoes of the piano.
All in all, it's a song worth listening to.

Peace Always,
